As a wedding photographer, I’m immersed in a world filled with the word love. I hear it constantly. But what if we’ve used the word so often that we’ve forgotten its true meaning?
Love is patient. Love is kind. It does not envy. It does not boast. It is not proud. It does not dishonor others. It is not self seeking. It is not easily angered. Our idea of love versus Jesus’s true meaning of love can be very different. You are deeply loved by Him. He gave up His life so that you could receive life forever, the ultimate example of love. Love is beautiful, but understanding that you are loved by Jesus is the greatest gift of all. He has been pursuing you since the moment you were born. He doesn’t want religion, He wants relationship. More than anything, He desires your heart, that you would surrender your life to Him so you can be with Him for eternity. He wants you to know that you are loved. I’m writing this because, if no one has ever told you before, Jesus wants a relationship with you, and He wants you to know just how deeply loved you truly are. Not a generic love, but a genuine, personal love.
