Hearth House Wedding in Monument, Colorado | Sierra Howard Photography

A Day That Felt Right

This wedding at  Hearth House will always stand out to me. It was my first wedding back after having my baby, and it reminded me why I love doing this work. The day felt calm, meaningful, and real — no rush, just two people fully present with each other. It was one of those days that felt like pure nostalgia in real time.

The Hearth House, located in Monument, Colorado, is such an easy venue to love. It’s bright, open, and designed for connection. The space fits any season and makes it simple to focus on what matters most — celebrating with the people you love.

Getting Ready and the Details That Matter

The bride got ready in a small cottage nearby. The space was simple but full of life. Everyone moved with intention, helping, laughing, and making sure the bride had time to breathe before the ceremony.

That’s something I always notice — when couples plan their day around what feels right for them, not just what’s expected. It makes everything smoother and more meaningful.

The Short Walk That Became My Favorite Moment

After the ceremony, we drove to a little spot down the road for portraits. We took a little walk into this incredible open field. It was quiet and felt like they were in their own movie. That walk ended up being one of my favorite parts of the day.

It’s those moments away from the crowd that tell the story best. You can see the real connection between two people once they finally get a chance to pause and take it all in.

From Engagement to Wedding Day

I had photographed their engagement session the fall before, and that connection made the wedding day so much easier. When I already know a couple, I know how they move, what makes them laugh, and how to help them feel comfortable.

That’s one of the best parts of being a Colorado wedding photographer — getting to build real relationships before the wedding day. It turns the experience into more than just photos.

Why The Hearth House Is Worth Considering

If you’re looking for a venue that’s easy, modern, and has space to make your day your own, The Hearth House is a great choice. It’s located between Colorado Springs and Denver, so it’s convenient for guests, and the layout works for both large and intimate weddings.

It’s also one of those spaces that lets you bring your own vision to life — whether that’s something classic, minimal, or laid-back.
